💊 This vitamin, also known as beta-carotene or retinol, plays a super essential role in our vision, teeth and skin health. It acts as an antioxidant which can promote healthy immunity and reproduction.
🤓 #FunFact the reason it was given the letter 🅰️ is because it was the first official vitamin to be named (#neat – although my ex-boyfriend asked why they didn’t name it “vitamin 1️⃣” 😅) and, naturally, it plays an important role in vision which is also why it’s known as retinol #cool
🥑 Because Vitamin A is considered a fat-soluble vitamin, it’s best to be consumed with healthy fats – whether you’re eating it in it’s natural food state or through supplementation.
💭 Ways you can increase your intake? Try incorporating more of these foods into your diet:
🥕 Locally grown yellow/orange fruits + veggies
🥬 Locally grown dark leafy greens
🥩 Ethically raised organ meats (especially liver)
🧀 Non-conventional dairy
💚 I always suggest buying these foods the most economical way by keeping it local, seasonal, non-gmo (or organic), unsprayed, and free-range to ensure happy top quality ingredients!
